罗伯特法伯瑞Robert Fabry（奧古斯特 迪赫饰）是一位事业成功的桥梁设计工程师。一天，罗伯特法伯瑞陪着一个客户走进了一家豪华大饭店，见到了一个穿红裙的高级娼妓凯瑟琳 文特Carolin Winter（卡嘉 瑞曼饰），她在勾引几个客人都不成功的情况下，向男人们展开了进乎疯狂的不礼貌的情爱攻势。罗伯特 法伯瑞想帮助了她，将她称ML丽丝，还把她领进了自己的房间。经历了激情的一夜后的第二天早上，罗伯特法伯瑞醒来时，发现凯瑟琳文特已经离开了。
