“废柴”大龄男人顾大池继承了父亲的“遗产”：一家破二手书店。他决定用一个夏天把书店变现，由此认识了复读女孩蔡小心，他们整理书卖书，把面包车改成“移动书房”上路，直到发现了父亲藏在书里的“宝藏”……很快，夏天就这么过去了。
