　　侦探雷·阿切尔(阿尔·帕西诺饰)和他的搭档威尔(卡尔·厄本饰)联手追捕城市中最臭名昭著的连环杀手。而这名令人闻风丧胆的连环杀手实则用“Hangman ”(上吊的人)的猜词游戏犯案。

 在一家名为“自由伊甸园”的商店里。店员“苹果”、“樱桃”和“无花果”私下维持着一个神秘的女巫社团，而新入职店员“南瓜”的出现，开始让这份姐妹情谊遭受质疑。面对新人的挑战，这群各怀鬼胎的女性不得不直面潜藏心底的幽暗，冲突也随之演变成血腥的暴力。
