年过半百的养蜂人老周一生被金钱困扰，身患重病后不愿拖累在外打拼的儿子，独自住进一家老旧酒店，打算在最后一夜写下遗书，安静告别。 　　可这一晚，他却接连迎来三位不速之客：行踪诡异的房客、闹得鸡飞狗跳的年轻人、带着熟悉气息的少女。 　　三段荒诞又惊险的奇遇，让老周亲身经历了如同电影般的“犯罪”“闹剧”“爱情”。他由此渐渐懂得，亲情与真心，远比金钱更加珍贵。一夜之间，他对人生、对陪伴、对爱，都有了全新的答案。

Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
