Makmur的儿子Jaya在学校遭受严重霸凌，他多次向校方反映，却始终被冷漠无视。绝望与愤怒之下，Makmur决定召唤传说中的分身灵“Qorin”，以超自然力量向霸凌者与冷漠的校方复仇。与此同时，学校辅导员Fitri察觉到村中发生的诡异事件，开始调查背后的真相，却一步步接近Makmur与Qorin的黑暗交易。随着复仇的进行，Makmur逐渐被黑暗吞噬，他的复仇计划也朝着失控的方向滑去，整个村庄笼罩在诡异与血腥之中。

Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
